The B-Roll #12: Whatchu know about those antibodies?

This is the twelth edition of my weekly newsletter, The B-Roll. Thank you for coming along for the ride. If you think someone in your life might also enjoy these letters, please share this with them.

Hey you,

I’m excited to share that I’m officially maxed out on antibodies.

I received my second booster this week. So, after a wicked “mild” infection at the beginning of the year and all of the recommended doses of the vaccine, I’m maxed out.

But I’m still being cautious and to be perfectly honest, I’m pretty sure that masking up is just going to be a part of my life moving forward.

Don’t get me wrong. I went ax throwing and to a karaoke bar for my birthday last weekend and I’ve got multiple concerts and movie screenings coming up. There’s just nothing wrong with being cautious while living my life.

It’s funny. In the past, I would’ve felt the need to justify what I just wrote but I don’t have that need anymore. It was simply my way of updating you on what’s on my mind at this very moment and I can move on to another topic without feeling shame.

I’ve been noticing these small changes lately. It could be because I haven’t been to therapy in a few months and the processing is happening on its own out of habit.

Brains are wild.

But it turns out I’m not the only one noticing these spurts of healing and growth. A few of my best friends have not only noticed the way I’ve gotten better at handling life, they’ve started calling it out to me.

And friend, I cannot tell you how proud that makes me.

Loved ones invested in my strength just as much as I’m invested in theirs.

When was the last time someone made you feel seen?

No Language & Culture Corner this week. I would love to know if there is anything specific you'd like to know more about when it comes to Turkish & Islamic language or culture that I can cover in this section.
